Fortanix Data Security Manager is a key management and data security platform. Connect your Fortanix Data Security Manager account to Oleria to bring user and group access into your identity and access graph.

What Oleria discovers

  • User accounts and profile attributes synced from Fortanix Data Security Manager’s directory.
  • Groups and their memberships.
Oleria uses this data for dormant account detection and access reviews, refreshed on Oleria’s regular sync schedule.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access in Fortanix Data Security Manager with permission to enable SCIM provisioning and manage admin apps.
  • A Fortanix Data Security Manager plan that includes SCIM provisioning.
  • Admin access on the Oleria platform to add a new integration.
Oleria must be able to reach a self-hosted Fortanix Data Security Manager host over HTTPS. Contact support@oleria.com to allowlist its exact hostname before you connect.

Get your SCIM credentials from Fortanix Data Security Manager

1

Enable SCIM provisioning in Fortanix Data Security Manager

Sign in to Fortanix Data Security Manager as an admin and turn on SCIM provisioning in Settings > SCIM. Then copy the API key of a Fortanix Data Security Manager admin app. Oleria sends this key as the SCIM bearer token.
2

Copy your SCIM Base URL and Authentication Token

Copy both values before you leave the page - you’ll paste them into Oleria in the next section:
  • SCIM Base URL - the SCIM 2.0 endpoint, https://<your-dsm-host>/scim/v2.
  • Authentication Token - the admin app API key.
Copy the token now and store it securely. Rotate it per your organization’s security policy.

If you regenerate the API key in Fortanix Data Security Manager, update the Authentication Token in Oleria by editing the integration.

Remediation actions

Oleria can also take these actions in Fortanix Data Security Manager when the API key can update users and groups:
  • Enable or disable a user account
  • Add or remove a user from a group
  • Create a new user or group
Oleria doesn’t check the API key’s permissions until an action runs. If an action fails, confirm the API key can update users and groups in Fortanix Data Security Manager.
