RingCentral is a business communications platform for voice, messaging, and video. Connect your RingCentral account to Oleria to bring user and group access into your identity and access graph.

What Oleria discovers

  • User accounts and profile attributes synced from RingCentral’s account directory.
  • Groups and their memberships.
Oleria uses this data for dormant account detection and access reviews, refreshed on Oleria’s regular sync schedule.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access in RingCentral to register an app in the RingCentral Developer Console.
  • Admin access on the Oleria platform to add a new integration.

RingCentral credentials

RingCentral authenticates API requests with OAuth access tokens from a registered app, and those tokens expire and must be refreshed. RingCentral doesn’t issue a static SCIM bearer token. For details, see RingCentral’s authentication guide.
Oleria’s connection form currently accepts only a static SCIM bearer token, so you can’t connect RingCentral from the form yet. To set up this integration, contact us at support@oleria.com.

Connect RingCentral to Oleria

Contact us at support@oleria.com to connect RingCentral. We’ll walk you through creating the client credentials Oleria needs.

Verify the integration

Confirm the new instance appears on the Connected tab of your Oleria Integrations page with a status of Healthy. Oleria syncs users and groups from RingCentral on its regular sync schedule once the initial sync completes.
If you rotate the RingCentral credentials Oleria uses, contact us to update the integration.

Remediation actions

Oleria can also take these actions in RingCentral when the credentials Oleria uses can update users and groups:
  • Enable or disable a user account
  • Add or remove a user from a group
  • Create a new user or group
Oleria doesn’t check the credentials’ permissions until an action runs. If an action fails, confirm the credentials can update users and groups in RingCentral.
