Genesys Cloud is a cloud contact center platform for customer engagement. Connect your Genesys Cloud organization to Oleria to bring user, group, and role access into your identity and access graph.

What Oleria discovers

  • User accounts and profile attributes synced from Genesys Cloud’s directory.
  • Groups and their memberships.
  • Roles assigned to each user.
Oleria uses this data for dormant account detection and access reviews, refreshed on Oleria’s regular sync schedule.

Prerequisites

  • A Genesys Cloud organization, and permission to create OAuth clients and assign the SCIM Integration role.
  • Admin access on the Oleria platform to add a new integration.

Get your SCIM credentials from Genesys Cloud

Genesys Cloud authenticates SCIM requests with an access token from an OAuth client that uses the Client Credentials grant. For a client with the SCIM Integration role, Genesys Cloud lets that token last up to 450 days. For details, see Genesys Cloud’s OAuth client documentation.

Create an OAuth client for SCIM

In Genesys Cloud, go to Menu -> IT and Integrations -> OAuth and select Add client. Choose the Client Credentials grant type and assign the SCIM Integration role. In Token Duration, enter how long the access token stays valid, up to 38880000 seconds (450 days). Save the client and copy the Client ID and Client Secret.
Genesys Cloud shows the client secret only once. Copy it before you leave the page.

Generate an access token

Exchange the client ID and secret for an access token. Replace <region-domain> with your Genesys Cloud region’s domain (for example, mypurecloud.com):
Copy the access_token value from the response. For details, see Genesys Cloud’s client credentials guide.

Build your SCIM Base URL

Your SCIM Base URL is https://api.<region-domain>/api/v2/scim/v2. For example, https://api.mypurecloud.com/api/v2/scim/v2.

Connect Genesys Cloud to Oleria

Open the integration

Go to your Oleria workspace, select Integrations, then select the Genesys Cloud tile.

Complete the connection form

Fill in the connection form:

Save the integration

Select Connect to validate the credentials and save the integration.

Verify the integration

Confirm the new instance appears on the Connected tab of your Oleria Integrations page with a status of Healthy. Oleria syncs users, groups, and roles from Genesys Cloud on its regular sync schedule once the initial sync completes.
The access token expires at the end of the Token Duration you set. Before then, generate a new token with the same OAuth client and update the Authentication Token in Oleria by editing the integration.

Remediation actions

Oleria can also take these actions in Genesys Cloud when the SCIM token can update users and groups:
  • Enable or disable a user account
  • Add or remove a user from a group
  • Create a new user
Oleria doesn’t check the token’s permissions until an action runs. If an action fails, confirm the token can update users and groups in Genesys Cloud.
