Canva is a design platform for creating visual content collaboratively. Connect your Canva organization to Oleria to bring team member and group access into your identity and access graph.

What Oleria discovers

  • User accounts and profile attributes synced from Canva’s directory.
  • Team and group membership across your organization.
Oleria uses this data for dormant account detection and access reviews, refreshed on Oleria’s regular sync schedule.

Prerequisites

  • A Canva Enterprise or Canva for Districts plan. SCIM isn’t available to new Canva Teams subscribers.
  • Admin or owner access to your Canva team.
  • Admin access on the Oleria platform to add a new integration.

Enable SCIM provisioning in Canva

Sign in to Canva, select your account profile, and choose Settings. Open the SSO and provisioning tab, and under Single Sign-On (SSO) select Manage. Select Configure Provisioning -> Add provisioning method -> SCIM, then turn on Enable SCIM user provisioning. For details, see Canva’s SCIM user provisioning and de-provisioning article.

Copy your SCIM Base URL and Authentication Token

Copy the access token Canva shows:
  • SCIM Base URL - https://www.canva.com/_scim/v2.
  • Authentication Token - the access token Canva generates.
Canva generates a new access token every time you turn the Enable SCIM user provisioning switch on. If your identity provider already provisions Canva over SCIM, turning the switch off and on again breaks that connection until you update the identity provider with the new token.

Connect Canva to Oleria

Open the integration

Go to your Oleria workspace, select Integrations, then select the Canva tile.

Complete the connection form

Fill in the connection form:

Save the integration

Select Connect to validate the credentials and save the integration.

Verify the integration

Confirm the new instance appears on the Connected tab of your Oleria Integrations page with a status of Healthy. Oleria syncs users and groups from Canva on its regular sync schedule once the initial sync completes.
If you regenerate the SCIM token in Canva, update the Authentication Token in Oleria by editing the integration.

Remediation actions

Oleria can also take these actions in Canva when the SCIM token can update users and groups:
  • Enable or disable a user account
  • Add or remove a user from a group
  • Create a new user or group
Oleria doesn’t check the token’s permissions until an action runs. If an action fails, confirm the token can update users and groups in Canva.
