# Enforce MFA compliance

> Detect users missing multi-factor authentication (MFA) on configured apps, escalate to their manager, and notify.

The **Enforce MFA compliance** workflow scopes to the application instances you choose, escalates non-compliant accounts to a manager after a set period, and sends a notification - closing MFA coverage gaps without a manual audit.

## How this workflow is built

    Set a schedule for the workflow to run - for example, every week on Monday at 9:00 AM UTC.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Filter Records">
    Scope the workflow to specific application instances - for example, a named set of connected SaaS apps.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Escalation">
    Define when to escalate - for example, after 90 days - and who it escalates to, such as the account's manager. Set an alternate to receive the escalation if the manager can't be resolved.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send Notifications">
    The workflow sends a notification, for example by email, once escalation criteria are met.
  </Step>
