# Connect to Oleria MCP

> Connect Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible AI client to your Oleria workspace, and ask questions about your identity and access data without leaving that client.

Ask questions about who has access to what in Oleria, and get answers inside Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible AI client. Oleria supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets AI clients connect directly to other applications - so your team can ask questions without switching to Oleria itself.

<Note>
  Oleria MCP is read-only. It answers questions and surfaces findings - it doesn't change anything in Oleria or in any connected application. To act on what it finds (for example, disabling an account), do that in Oleria directly, or through a [workflow](/posture/workflows-overview).
</Note>

See [what you can ask](/introduction/oleria-mcp-examples) or the [available tools](/introduction/oleria-mcp-tools) once you're connected.

## Connect your AI client

<Steps>
  <Step title="Build your connector URL">
    Your connector URL follows this pattern:

    ```
    https://mcp.<tenant>.oleria.io/mcp
    ```

    Replace `<tenant>` with your workspace's subdomain - the same one you use to sign in to Oleria. For example, if you sign in at `acme.oleria.io`, your connector URL is `https://mcp.acme.oleria.io/mcp`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add it to your AI client">
    In your AI client's settings, add a new connector using this URL. The exact steps depend on the client - follow its own instructions for adding an MCP connector.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in">
    When prompted, sign in with your usual Oleria workspace login. If you belong to your company's Oleria workspace, you're connected immediately - there's no separate request or approval step.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Oleria MCP works with any MCP-compatible AI client - including Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor - not only the ones named here.
